Relationship Matters -part 2

Just as i promised in the last post to talk about the types of relationships, here is it.


Before I continue, let me say this

All sugary things are sweet but not all sweet things are sugary

You might not understand yet but I bet you would as we continue.
When I look at the relationship of some people around me, I classified relationship into two types. The first one is what I call The honey-like relationship and the second which I call The sugar-like relationship. Yeah, the names sound funny but they are meaningful. Well if you think deep at the word Honey and Sugar, you will be able to understand the quote I made earlier. Both honey and sugar are sweet but any substance containing sugar is known to be sugary and it's happens not to be so in the case of honey. Let me explain these terms to you

1. The honey-like Relationship

Well everyone knows how sweet honey is, some even say honey is sweeter than sugar well let's assume they both have the same degree of sweetness. Now when you spill some drops of honey on a clean flat plate, provided the honey is original you will never see ants feeding on it.

That's the point, the pride of most people in a relationship is for people to admire their relationship and the way they express love to each other. Do you know that everyone loves to be around couples who love each other so much? But the point is, in as much as they all want to be around them, not all of them have positive minds towards their relationship, some have wicked intentions. Now their relationship is sweet, loving, attractive and admirable infact, it's one others wish to be in but the truth is they all don't know what goes on between these couples because, these couples never disclose their flaws, their secrets, misunderstanding and all simply disallowing any third party influence.

When you are in a honey-like relationship, people around are 100℅ ready to hear what goes wrong between you two and it only depends on you whether to open up or not. A honey-like relationship being compared to the characteristics of honey, is a relationship where people around don't get to know what goes on within your relationship just as ants don't feed on honey.

2. The Sugar-like Relationship

A normal relationship is a relationship of two people only, no attachments but unfortunately for most people, their relationship is a home for all.
When you open and spread a sachet of sugar on a clean flat plate, in no time ants will not only gather that surrounding but also feed on it and painfully some ants take some grains away to wherever they go. That is exactly how a Sugar-like relationship works. Being in a Sugar-like relationship doesn't mean you won't have a loving relationship but it will not last and why is that? Remember I made mention that a sweet relationship is what people love being around, now when these people come around, they won't just stick around, they will try to get certain info from you two in the name of trying to help and little by little they destroy things the more, well some might not know but the deed is done, they turn advisers overnight and you become the victim.

If you are reading this and you find yourself in this category, with no waste of time do something about it. Well if you refuse and you think you are very okay with this, I will give you an instance.

 If I leave that clean flat plate containing sugar we mentioned earlier undisturbed, the ants will not stop coming until they finish every grain of the sugar so also, if you don't do something about your relationship and claim to be alright, your advisers and helpers will keep coming until there is no trust in your relationship. And you see those people you call your advisers and problem solvers trying to mend your relationship, when you have totally lost your trust in your partner, they will still be the ones to come back and say "Break up, he doesn't like you." Oh really, I thought they were supposed to mend things not break things and you are back to sqaure one probably just like them.
Let me tell you a secret, one certain thing about those advisers and quarell settlers who especially aren't in a relationship, they always and I mean always want to solve issues and this makes them so anxious to hear that there is an issue or something. They want to get the praises always.


Let's now compare these two types of relationships.
Majority of people prefer sugar to honey even when both are sweet, reasons I don't know maybe natural. But that's not the point am making, the point is majority also love to be around Sugar-like relationships where issues and misunderstandings are linked out just because the individuals in this relationship are so much ready to tell stories, always ready to talk. So if you are in this situation and you are thinking they love you by sticking around always, better be sensitive.
Well, I might not blame them because some actually think they can get to be the topic of the day when everyone knows what goes on between them. In my findings, I see this to be totally wrong, I have noticed a honey-like relationship is mostly discussed because no one knows anything about them so they are being discussed, there are arguments from here and there probably no one knows what goes on in that relationship and they all guess but in the case of the other type of relationship, when they are being discussed, there are no arguments, everyone is so certain of what goes on in their relationship.
Being in a honey-like relationship should be like allowing people to see and feel the outside at the same time protecting what goes on in the inside. It's much more like an opaque relationship where no one can see through while the other seems to be Transparent. Take a look at honey, you will notice there is this kind of thickness and bonding within this honey, unlike that if sugar that is how a honey-like relationship looks like. Their bond is so tight.


Lastly, I will like to address an issue about a honey-like relationship, it's true I said there should be no third-party influence if you want to have a relationship like that but sometimes certain situations and misunderstandings need a third-party intervention. So in such cases, be wise about who you run to, you cannot just tell anyone no matter who they are even if they are older
If you need someone to disclose issues with, it has to be someone

• who is also in a good relationship, let's say a honey-like relationship like yours
• who knows a lot about relationships, whether single or not, older or younger, don't be too wise, some people are younger but they know a lot, some are also single but they know a lot too. Meet them!
• who knows the both of you so well before you started dating

Even after they have met one or more of these requirements, I am not saying you should be 100% free to open up to them, that is left to you. All I can advise is to try them by entrusting the least issue with them or issues that have already been solved and if they satify you to your taste, you are free to go.
